Weekend Getaway: Sedona, AZ 🌵(Part 3 of 4)

xxa

Situated between two peaks of red sandstone, Chapel of the Holy Cross is a busy tourist attraction. Though it looks intimidating, an easy paved trail takes us on a journey to spectacular views. One hasn’t seen Sedona until you’ve seen this magnificent church nestled within the natural red Sedona rock.

While the Chapel is a heaven for those who enjoy interesting architecture, it is also very inspirational to see the natural Eagle rock formation, as if holding guard above this magnificent church, and the valley below.

When standing outside the Chapel building, view of the surrounding mountains offers us a look at the Eagle rock formation. Can you find it in the above pictures?

The Chapel of the Holy Cross is such a unique place, that it has been featured on a face of a US stamp. While religious services aren’t held here, the church is open for viewing, prayer and meditation. It even houses a gift shop on a lower level … and what girl can say no to shopping?

Left is the look into the Chapel, Right is the magnificent view from the Chapel courtyard, and bottom is a mesmerizing Holy Spirit mosaic built in to the courtyard floor.

Wearing one of my new favorite turquoise 👗 with lace detail, Mia Girl 👢here, Tommy Hilfiger 👜,  💎by Drema, Guess denim jacket in tow, straw Cowgirl 👒, and Maui Jim 👓, … I’m ready to take on the journey to the higher land (and amazing views).  😘
